Should you ever need to get computer parts replaced we generally have two options in the IT Center.

The first is sending the computer to HP for the necessary repairs. This typically lasts at least two weeks to get back to you. Sometimes it is quicker and sometimes it is slower.

The second way is having the IT staff doing the repairs. That requires us to order the necessary parts for you. When we order the parts for you and you still have your computer, we need to have your computer in a timely manner because we have to send the parts that are replaced back to HP. If we do not send the damaged parts back, we will be charged for them. This is why we send multiple emails and put names in the announcements. We do not do that to practice our typing. During a repair, we need the computer for at least two regular or one block periods. If you do need a loaner computer, one can be provided for you.

If you do not bring your computer into us, we will send the parts back to HP and if you need parts replaced in the future, we will take your computer and give you a loaner while we wait on the parts to arrive. This has already happened to several students this year. Do not be the next one!
