Isobaric Process

An Isobaric Process is a constant pressure process.

Work = - Force · Distance

Work = - (Pressure · Area ) · Distance

Work = - Pressure · ( Area  · Distance)

Work = - Pressure · Δ Volume

If the Δ Volume is an increase in volume then work leaves the system.  Another way to say this is that work is done by the system.

If the Δ Volume is a decrease in volume then work enters the system.  Another way to say this is that work is done on the system.
